Apple Cider Mimosas

Mimosa have a special place in my heart. While working the night shift in the ICU for many years, my coworkers and I loved to get breakfast and mimosas after shift. It was our equivalent of happy hour, shout out to Slainte in Baltimore for opening bright and early! I also have lots of family memories of mimosas with my family. My sister is the queen of mimosas and we always have them Christmas morning, and whenever else she finds an opportunity!

With Thanksgiving fast approaching, I thought y'all should have these Apple Cider Mimosas on your menu. They're the perfect simple cocktail to get into the festive spirit! The cinnamon sugar rim adds just a bit of fancy and I highly encourage serving them in a fun glass. My personal favorite is a coupe.

I've teamed up with a great group of food bloggers for a Virtual Happy Hour to bring you our best holiday cocktails. Be sure to scroll down to see all of them to get some ideas!

Apple Cider Mimosas:

Ingredients:

  • Apple Cider

  • Prosecco or Champagne

  • Sugar

  • Ground Cinnamon

  • Apple Slice

Method:

  • Combine 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl

  • Wet the rim of a glass, I prefer coupe but any glass will work

  • Dip the glass in the cinnamon sugar and rotate to get an even coating

  • Pour 1 part apple cider and 1 part prosecco in your glass

  • Garnish with a slice of red apple, enjoy!
